The PhoenixCar Boot Sale

This Car Boot Sale is usually (pending approval) held every second month on the last  Saturday. The Phoenix Car Boot Sale is centrally located close to Phoenix Mall, Vacoas-Phoenix.

It is hosted by Karibu Center on the grounds of Saint Columba, Presbyterian Church of Mauritius. 

Easy to find, it is just past Phoenix Mall travelling towards Curepipe and the church grounds offers ample parking with some shade provided by the beautiful trees.

Approval dates may differ throughout the year, depending on the availability of the terrain. Best is to follow the Facebook page, or visit again for approved dates.

Hosted by Karibu Center on the grounds of Saint Columba, Presbyterian Church of Mauritius, our aim is also to create awareness of the Karibu Kafé.

The Karibu Center incorporates a café, library, and garden, and hosts community events. Rs200 of every registration fee goes toward Karibu.

The facilitator of the event is Peekaboo Pre-loved clothes & accessories for moms & kids, who assist in raising awareness of recycling, upcycling and also has an online charity shop where baby items, clothes and more can be bought.

  • $The fee per parking area is Rs 800.
  • $Entrance fee is payable in advance, when booking. It is not refundable nor transferable.
  • $Vendors must be there by 7:30.
  • $PCBS will be officially open from 8:00 - 13:00.
  • $Seating, tables, & gazebos are not provided.
  • $It is not compulsory to have a vehicle to join the Car Boot Sale.
  • $Sales of cooked food is not allowed.
  • $Packing up starts at 13:00.

Location

The location of the Phoenix Car Boot Sale is on the corner of Bienheureux Pere Laval Avenue and Palmerstone road, just past Pheonix Mall and Mantra Wellness.

It is on the grounds of Saint Columba, Presbyterian Church of Mauritius.

Karibu Center

  • NI agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Karibu Center management and abide by any instructions given by the Center Management or security staff.
  • NThe Center Management will not be held responsible for any damages or losses that might occur.
  • NI agree to keep my parking space tidy and remove any packaging and trash prior to leaving.
  • NI understand that the Center Management has the right to disallow the sales of specific items.
  • NJ’accepte de respecter les règles et règlements du centre et de respecter toutes les instructions données par la direction du centre ou le personnel de sécurité.
  • NLa Direction du Centre ne pourra être tenue responsable des dommages ou pertes qui pourraient survenir.
  • NJe m’engage à garder ma place de parking bien rangée et à retirer tous emballages et déchets avant de partir.

Organisers | Organisateurs

I agree to abide by the regulations of the organiser, which includes:

  • NArriving on time.
  • NNo vehicles will be allowed to leave the designated area until the end of the event, for the safety of the pedestrians.
  • NIn the event that stock is sold out prior to the end of the event, you will not remove your vehicle, for the safety of the pedestrians.
  • NThe organisers have the right to deny entry.
  • NThe organisers have the right to prohibit the sale of certain products.
  • NThe organisers will not be held responsible or liable for any damages or losses that may occur.
  • NShould the market rain out, the entrance fee is non-refundable.
  • NThe market may be canceled at short notice due to weather conditions.

  • NHave my Food Handler’s Certificate with me if I sell food.
  • NBe considerate to my fellow vendors and their property.
  • NTake responsibility for any persons with me and that they too will adhere to the rules and regulations.
  • NBe considerate toward the public and not endanger pedestrians or children with my conduct or the placement of my products, stands, or vehicle(s).
